In order to achieve this however, certain measures are also required on your part:

Always provide accurate and updated information to the Bank.

  • Always type the URL address of the bank - - and do not use a link or favorites.
  • Inspect your PC regularly for any malicious programs by using the latest versions of antivirus and antispyware software.
  • Before entering your passwords on the Bank’s website, verify the identity of a website by:
    • typing in the website’s address yourselves instead of using an external link
    • clicking on the yellow padlock and validate that you are located at the certified Eurobank e-Banking website.
  • Memorize your username and passwords, delete the text messages (sms) and/or emails that the credentials were written on and disable the "auto-complete" option in your browser to avoid the risk of theft.
  • Do not use the Bank’s credentials to access other services through the Internet.
  • Change your passwords at regular intervals and choose passwords that are difficult to be guessed.;
  • Delete e-mails, where the sender falsely appears to be your bank, asking you to verify various information (such as e-Banking credentials, account and card information etc.) or provide links which navigate you to an Internet site requesting personal information.
  • Ignore phone calls, where the caller, claiming to be a bank's representative and attempts to elicit personal information from you.
  • Avoid using a public computer (e.g. at airports, internet cafés, etc.) to access e-banking as such computers may record keystrokes and therefore capture your personal credentials.
  • Be aware of your surroundings when you are banking online and ensure that you are not being watched by someone or filmed on closed circuit television.
  • Never leave your computer unattended while logged on and when you finish always LOGOUT.
  • Protect your mobile device by:
    • Setting a security PIN to unlock screen
    • Adjusting the phone settings to lock automatically after a predefined minutes of inactivity
    • Not storing sensitive information on your device.
  • Before downloading a mobile banking application (app) check for the following information:
    • Check the publisher of the app; criminals can use similar names; so be careful
    • Check the app's reviews and ratings; a fake app would likely have no or limited reviews
    • When in doubt, visit the Bank's website to download the official app
  • The measures below are also suggested for safeguarding your cardholder data:
    • change immediately your PIN once this is delivered to you by the Bank,
    • memorize your PIN and do not select a PIN which can be easily identified,
    • never write down the PIN in any way which may be linked with your card or your card account statements,
    • never allow any other person to use your card and never disclose to any other person any details that relate to your card,
    • cover the keyboard while using your card for cash withdrawals from ATMs and the POS keyboard used to enter the PIN for the execution of a card transaction.

Eurobank will never, and for no reason, ask you to divulge your personal information, such as account and credit card information and login credentials to our e-Banking services.

If you find any discrepancies in your account, change your password immediately and report the incident to us as soon as possible. If you suspect that you have been targeted with any type of malicious activity, contact us immediately by:

  •  Contacting your account officer
  •  Sending a secure message from your e-banking
  •  Sending us an e-mail to:
  •  Calling us at 8008 8822 (domestic calls) / (+357) 22 208000 (calls from abroad).

The Bank may, for security purposes and at its own discretion, change, suspend or end any service or any communication channel through which the Bank's services are offered. To the extent allowed under the law, these changes may be effective upon a notice provided to you.
