Michalis Louis

Chief Executive Officer Eurobank Cyprus

Mr. Louis obtained a B.Sc. in Accounting Studies at the Ealing College in London and a M.Sc. in Accounting & Finance from London School of Economics and Political Science.
 
He has attended several banking related courses at the INSEAD Business School and at the London Business School. He started his career in the Banking Sector in 1987 with Laiki Bank Group, where he held various senior managerial and Board positions. In 1989 and 1990 he worked in a subsidiary of HSBC in New York, at the Corporate Finance Department. Subsequently assumed the position of Group General Manager and Executive Director – International Operations of Laiki Bank.
 
In 2007, Mr. Louis joined Eurobank Group as the Chief Executive Officer of Eurobank Cyprus Ltd. Since then he serves as a member at Group’s Executive Board, as a member of various Group’s Committees and as a Chairman and/or a member of other local Group subsidiaries in Cyprus.  He is also the Head of International Activities General Division & Group Private Banking of Eurobank Group and Chairman and/or member of the Group’s International Bank subsidiaries in Serbia, Bulgaria and Luxembourg.

Andreas Petsas

Senior General Manager

Mr. Petsas started his career in Laiki Bank in 1997 where he served in various positions in Corporate and Investment Banking while in 2006 he was appointed as Deputy General Manager of Laiki Bank AD Serbia.  He joined Eurobank Cyprus in 2007 in the position of General Manager Corporate and Investment Banking and in 2014 he was appointed Senior General Manager responsible for the Corporate and Investment Banking and Wealth Management Banking Divisions.

Mr. Petsas holds a BSc in Business, Finance and Economics from the University of East Anglia and an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. He is also registered in the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission’s Public Register of Registered Persons as holder of the Advanced Certification.

Demetris Shacallis

General Manager CFO (Chief Financial Officer)

Mr. Shacallis holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Leicester and an MBA from the University of Nottingham. He is also registered in the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission’s Public Register of Registered Persons as holder of the Advanced Certification.
He is a member of the ICEAW, starting out at Ernst & Young in London where he worked for four years specialising in the Financial Services sector. He then continued his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Nicosia at the position of Audit Manager.  In 1998, he took on the duties of Manager of Financial Services & Human Resources - Chief Financial Officer at the Universal Bank in Cyprus.
In 2007 he joined Eurobank Cyprus and was appointed General Manager - Chief Financial Officer and also overseeing the Bank’s Human Resources division.  He is also an Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Eurobank Cyprus.
Other current directorhips include various Group subsidiary companies in Cyprus plus Non-Executive Directorships at the Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Cyprus and the Association of Cyprus Banks, Non-profit Organisations based in Cyprus.

 

Achilleas Malliotis

General Manager COO (Chief Operations Officer)

Mr. Malliotis started his career in 1990 in the Business Advisory Department for Financial Institutions at KPMG London, where he obtained his ACA qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He later transferred to the Management Consulting Department, specialising in Risk Management for financial institutions. Upon his return to Cyprus in 1995, he joined the International Operations Division of Laiki Group, where he was involved in various projects in Cyprus and abroad, including the development of the Group’s subsidiaries abroad and of the Wholesale Banking Division in Cyprus. Mr. Malliotis also led the development of the Group’s Risk Management Division, where he was appointed Divisional Director.

Since 2008, when he joined Eurobank Cyprus, Mr. Malliotis has been performing the duties of General Manager - Chief Operations Officer overseeing the operations and the development of the Bank’s infrastructure and services.

Mr. Malliotis is a holder of a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Furthermore, during his studies, he was awarded a British Commonwealth Scholarship and later awarded a British Council Fellowship. He is also registered in the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission’s Public Register of Registered Persons as holder of the Advanced Certification.

Antonis Antoniou

General Manager Wealth Management & Global Markets

Mr. Antoniou joined Eurobank Cyprus in 2007 and he currently holds the position of General Manager – Wealth Management & Global Markets.

He started his career at Laiki Bank where he served for six years as Head of the Market Risk Management Unit. He then moved to the Private Banking Unit of Laiki Bank as Assistant Manager and later served as Manager, a position he held until his move to Eurobank Cyprus.

Mr. Antoniou graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a BSc Degree in Actuarial Science and obtained an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from the City Business School. He is also registered in the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission’s Public Register of Registered Persons as holder of the Advanced Certification.

Stephanos Kassianides

General Manager International Business Banking & BC Network

Mr. Kassianides has over 20 years of banking experience, working initially in a financial institution in London for a period of three years, handling a portfolio of clients mainly involved in the real estate sector. In 2000 he returned to Cyprus and worked for six years at Laiki Bank, managing the Credit Department of the International Business Banking Division. In 2007, he joined Eurobank Cyprus, managing the International Business Division, including the Bank’s network. At present, he holds the position of General Manager - International Business Banking & BC Network.

Mr. Kassianides holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Essex and an MSc in Insurance and Risk Management from the City Business School.

Demetris Eliades

Head International Business Banking

Mr. Eliades started his career in London where he worked in the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse First Boston. He later joined the Bank of England working as an analyst in the Monetary Analysis Division. He returned to Cyprus in 2003 and worked at Laiki Group, firstly as Head of the Market Risk Management Unit and then as the assistant of the Executive Director responsible for the Group’s overseas operations. He joined Eurobank Cyprus in 2007  managing the Bank’s International Business Banking division. At present, he holds the position of Head - International Business Banking.

Mr. Eliades holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MPhil in Finance from the University of Cambridge

Nicolas Panayi

Manager Large Corporate

Starting his career, Mr. Panayi joined Ingersoll Rand (USA) as a Financial Analyst where he took assignments in Texas and later in Paris. Following his return to Cyprus in 2000, he joined CLR Securities & Financial Services where he served for five years as a Private Equity Portfolio Manager. He then moved to the Association of Cyprus Banks where he served for two years as a Senior Officer. Mr. Panayi joined Eurobank Cyprus in December 2007 and he currently holds the position of Manager Large Corporate, heading the Large Corporate lending operations of the Bank.

Mr. Panayi holds an MBA in Finance and Investments from the City University of New York and is a graduate of the Business School of the University of Kentucky.

Marios Hadjikyriakos

Manager Wealth Management

Mr. Hadjikyriakos started his career in 1998 working for the Treasury department of Laiki Bank in Cyprus. In 2001 he was seconded to Laiki Bank in Australia where he served in the position of Treasurer until 2003. Returning to Cyprus, he assumed the position of the Head of the Money and Capital Markets desk. He joined Eurobank Cyprus in 2007 in the position of Head of Global Markets. At present, he holds the position of Manager of Wealth Management.

Mr. Hadjikyriacos holds a BSc in Economics and Finance from Baruch College and an MBA from the University of Cyprus. He is also registered in the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission’s Public Register of Registered Persons as holder of the Advanced Certification.

Katerina Charalambous

Head Centralized Operations and Organization & Methods

Ms. Katerina Charalambous joined Eurobank Cyprus in 2007 and she currently holds the position of Head Centralized Operations and Organization & Methods.  Ms. Charalambous started her career in Investor Relations in 1994 in New York, where she worked for 4 years. Following that, she worked at Laiki Bank (Hellas) in Athens as Head of Product Development and Electronic Banking and then as Head of Sales for Laiki Mutual Funds. She then spent 5 years working for Eurobank Ergasias S.A. as Operations Business Development Manager. In 2007, she joined Eurobank Cyprus in  the position of Head of the Centralized Operations  which oversees E-Banking, Cards, Cheques Clearing, the Bank’s Call Center and Cash Management. Ms. Charalambous also oversees the Department of Organization & Methods of the Bank.
 
Ms. Charalambous holds a BSc in Mass Communication at Boston University USA  and has a Master in Public Administration from City University of New York (Baruch). She is currently a member of the VISA Cyprus Council Executive Committee, the National Payments Committee, and the Cyprus Clearing House.
