Online shopping – Changing to a more secure authentication method 

Due to EU regulations (PSD2), online shopping SMS OTP will conclude on 11/01/2021 and will be replaced by Eurobank CY Cards Authenticator Mobile App. The new features/advantages are: 

Seamless registration process:

Registration made easy using only your Date of Birth and an Active Eurobank Cyprus card number

Convenient operation 

Confirm the transaction by using a dedicated PIN of your choice or by using the Biometric authentication (Biometric authentication needs to be activated on your phone)

Transaction displayed clearly

Transaction details are clearly indicated, including, merchant name, transaction amount and transaction date 
Instant decision and safeguard from fraud 
You can instantly accept legitimate transactions or decline any fraudulently activated transactions 

Important notes: 
•    The App can be found at both on Play Store for android phones and Apple store for iOS phones.
•    In order to register to the service, you need to have the application installed and an activated Eurobank VISA card handy.
•    Mobile data or Wi-Fi coverage needed for connecting to the service.

As of 09 January 2025, customers of Eurobank Cyprus are able to send and receive Instant Payments from/to anywhere in Europe (subject to the beneficiary’s and sender’s Bank is participant in the SEPA Instant Payment scheme).
 
With Instant Payments, you can send and receive transactions 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

REVISION OF THE GENERAL TERMS OF EUROBANK CYPRUS

Eurobank Cyprus Ltd has updated the General Terms Governing the Relationship between Customer – Bank. The revision is mainly in reference to the introduction of Instant Credit Transfers and the introduction of Visa+ Service. Changes were additionally made to the Privacy Notice, which forms an integral part of the General Terms. The revised General Terms and will take effect on 08.01.2025.
